With more than 2 million mobile apps to choose from, most of us have installed at least 40 of them on our smartphones. Downloads from the Apple App Store alone surpassed 100 billion last year - and that number is expected to double in 2017.
Yet we rarely use them all. Nearly eight in 10 people use just three (or fewer) of their apps. This is something enterprises need to pay attention to. Employees are consumers, too, after all, which means they behave like consumers. Now, they're catching on to what consumer app developers have already figured out: simple is better. These apps don't do everything - just everything people want to complete a task.
