Storage Solutions For SharePoint

With more and more data being stored in SharePoint, you need to be able to ensure 24x7 availability while keeping up with growing storage requirements. That isn't easy, though, with calls coming in from end users about SharePoint's slow performance, as well as calls from your SQL Server DBAs and storage engineers that SharePoint is taking up too much expensive disk space and server processing power. Sure, you can add SQL Server space, but that's just a temporary and complicated infrastructure management fix until SharePoint's next growth spurt. You could try moving the data to external storage devices using code-driven native externalization technologies, but you won't get an intuitive interface, reporting or upgrade guidelines to ensure your data's integrity.
