The shape of email is a starting point in helping us understand the qualify of the information residing in the inboxes of organizations across the world. Businesses are preoccupied with spam, its potential risks and impact on both network and personal bandwidth. However, between spam and the critical emails sits a range of information, some of it very useful, some less so. Our "Shape of Email" research attempts, for the first time, to describe the content of a typical corporate inbox in terms of its importance and relevance to the user.
